The Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council in partnership with the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Statewide Access and Functional Needs (AFN) Taskforce invites you to participate in the 2015 Partners in Preparedness Summit. The purpose of this event is to provide education on effective processes to conduct emergency shelter health surveillance and monitoring to support children/families with access and functional needs. This summit will provide disaster education on expected community roles, issues regarding children and families with AFN, and tips on augmenting preparedness plans. Participants will engage in dialog to identify challenges during shelter and emergency evacuation operations. The target audience includes: Community Organizations, Emergency Management, Schools, Healthcare, Public Health, First Responders, Local/State/Tribal preparedness planners, support organizations that service children and families with access and functional needs.
