ARIZONA DISABILITY COALITION

The Arizona Disability Coalition (ADC) is a statewide, cross-disability coalition. The ADC includes individuals and organizations from across Arizona. The mission of ADC is to advance the rights, choices, and value of people who have disabilities through individual and collective advocacy and education efforts.

The Arizona Education and Empowerment Initiative (AZEEI) is a free 6-week course that is designed to engage individuals with disabilities in their communities.

Emergency Preparedness Initiatives

PARTNERS IN PREPAREDNESS SUMMIT

The Partners in Preparedness Summit is an annual event that brings together communities, individuals, and organizations working on innovative approaches to inclusive disaster readiness. This event will next take place in the Summer of 2020. It will have subject matter experts deliver keynote presentations, take part in panel sessions, and facilitate the audience discussions.

READY ARIZONA

Ready Arizona is an inclusive emergency preparedness training program designed by and created for individuals who have disabilities, their friends and family, and others in their support network. AZSILC provides a number of workshops and training opportunities throughout the year, and in many different locations. ARIZONA YOUTH ENGAGEMENT ACADEMY

Arizona Youth Engagement Academy is an intensive training experience designed to build capacity in youth and young adults who have a variety of disabilities, to prepare them to assume leadership roles, and provide peer to peer mentoring, training, and support to other youth and young adults who have a variety of disabilities.

AZYEA Peer Facilitators provide a number of workshops and training opportunities throughout the year, and in many different locations. AZYLF at ASU (Summer 2019)

ARIZONA YOUTH LEADERSHIP FORUM

AZYLF is an innovative, 5-day conference, designed to foster personal growth for students and young adults who have disabilities, as they prepare for and progress through transition to adulthood. AZYLF is facilitated by Diverse Ability Incorporated, in partnership with the AZYLI Alumni Association, Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council, and other invested partner organizations.
