AZSILC Meetings
Board, Council, and Committees
Arizona Statewide Independent Living Council (AZSILC) meetings are open to the public.

Board of Directors
The AZSILC Board of Directors are Council members, who are elected by the Council to serve a dual role, which includes ensuring organizational sustainability, fiscal integrity, and oversight related to human resources. Members must serve on the Council.

Council
The Council members are appointed by the Governor, and the composition of Council membership is determined through federal law and currently must be a majority of people who have disabilities who are not employed by a state agency or Center for Independent Living, who represent the diversity of the state of Arizona.

Emergency and Disaster Resilience Committee
The AZSILC Emergency and Disaster Resilience Committee is a Committee of the Council, in which members share input and feedback on the existing and emerging needs of Arizonans who have disabilities related to emergency and disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and resilience. Membership is not limited to Council members.

The AZSILC Public Policy Committee is a Committee of the Council, in which members develop and execute a sustainable engagement and discernment process for AZSILC as it relates to Public Policy matters. Membership is not limited to Council members.

State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) Development Committee is a Committee of the Council responsible for ensuring that the SPIL is developed with integrity and in accordance with requirements. Membership is not limited to Council members.

State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) Evaluation Committee is a Committee of the Council responsible for reviewing SPIL progress and making recommendations to the Council as needed regarding the SPIL. Members must serve on the Council.
